Harry's Story

Attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo 1963-68. Graduated June 14, 1968 w/BS degree and commissioned 2nd Lieutenant US Army Reserves; Active Duty 1968-1979 (including a year in Viet Nam), Active Reserves 1979-1996. Retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. Owned my own mobile home business 1980-1997 and was a consultant for a building materials center 1997-2006. Never married. Live in a quaint community in southern New Mexico "Truth or Consequences." Yes, it exists, check your map. Mother just passed away Feb. 2015 so hopefully will be able to do some traveling. Father passed away 1975. Visited SAHS in 200...Expand for more
6: WOW, what a change - all for the good. Lotsa memories there. Still go thru my 3 yearbooks once in a while. Attended the 10 year and 30 year reunion. Atteded the 50th reunion in 2013 and plan on attending the All-Saints picnic after Labor Day. Thanksgiving dinner at Denny's this year. A nice meal for under $10.00 (with senior discount) and no prep or cleanup. Sat in the same booth Mom and I sat in for many years.
This is what I woke up to Christmas Day 1969 in my "hootch" in Viet Nam. Friends and relatives made the day so much more bearable - even in a combat zone. Merry Christmas to all of my cyber friends this beautiful morning.
